Das Haus verfügt über begrenzte eigene, kostenfreie Parkplätze. We were seated during the busy second turn of dinner, prepared to be patient as the dining room was clearly full. Menus arrived after a few minutes--and then we waited. And waited. It was a good 15 minutes before our server took our food and drink orders, and another 15 before the drinks arrived. The room started to empty. We wrote a couple postcards to pass the time until dinner arrived, about 50 minutes after we were seated. While the food is a lovely view into Bavarian cuisine, with bountiful portions, rich sauces, and competent spätzle, our waiter never checked in on us again. We decide to go to dinner at this place as our hotel had its “ruhetag”. That was a good choice. The restaurant was very busy, but nevertheless we were seated straight away, although we had to share a big table with another couple, which was fine by us. The restaurant is a “s’wirtshous” meaning that they serve regional dishes and freshly tapped beer. Service was very good and so was the food. All in all a place that gives good value for money. My family of four and I wanted to try a little bit of everything so we ordered the full spectrum of foods. Very traditional German food which did not disappoint. With the exception of the spatzel. I honestly could not eat it and I'm a cheese lover. :(The beer was great, our server was polite and helpful and the food was very, very good. I'd recommend the three white sausages with kraut!!
This was recommended to us by our hotel. Excellent choice. My granddaughter had the pork with spatzle, the latter being like a Mac and cheese. I had the pork special- it was like osso bucco, Bavarian style. Fresh beer and great apple strudel to end it. A delight for us.
