That's it for me and Sabai Sabai. We decided to give it one last chance in honor of the eight years we've spent dining there, but it was a letdown. The prices are way too high, and the food just isn't good anymore. It used to be excellent, but over the past year or two, it has only been adequate enough to satisfy a craving for Thai cuisine—now it's not even worth that. We tried a variety of dishes to see if it was just our usual selections that had declined, but sadly, everything seems to have lost its touch. This place has seriously gone downhill. I totally understand in these pandemic times places being short staffed being a service worker myself, but it’s important to let your costumers know that is the case. My friend and I waited at least 45 minutes if not an hour just for our appetizers and drinks and well over an hour for our entree it was not the waiters fault he was clearly very overwhelmed although they’re were not many people dining in it was my understanding they’re were a lot of takeout orders. When we finally got our food it was incredibly greasy and lukewarm, and I’m almost 100% they don’t have sushi anymore which is what I used to go there for. Again not the waiters fault.
One of my friends, who cannot have gluten, ordered a gluten-free chicken ramen bowl. It was great that this option was available, and the staff were very accommodating, checking with her about the gluten-free option and confirming it when her dish arrived. Overall, we were impressed by the amazing staff and delicious food.
A tip for anyone looking for a romantic night out: the restaurant has a lovely window seating area with small tables for two, perfect for an evening date!
This place is remarkable! Our food was delicious, servings very generous and we were served quickly. Best restaurant we’ve been to since moving to Vermont. It’s clear they are suffering with hiring issues, but our food came out quickly. Kindness and patience would pay off if necessary to wait, the food is worth it.
