Saiko has really poor service. We visited twice in the span of two weeks, and both times we waited over 25 minutes without being attended to. We had to raise our hands several times to get someone's attention. We weren't even offered water at the table. This place used to be exceptional, but I definitely won't be returning until they improve their structure and organization. Many other customers were also looking around, trying to get a waiter's attention. I wonder if there's been a change in management? I have no idea what's happening here.
My partner, our 13-month-old child, and I were seated for lunch, but it took about 10 to 15 minutes before anyone took our order. Meanwhile, other diners who had arrived after us were being seated and having their orders taken. The staff seemed more focused on cleaning dirty tables than attending to us. With a toddler in tow, time is crucial, so we ended up leaving. It’s disappointing because we were really looking forward to trying this restaurant.
A great place for a family dinner. Great food that everyone can enjoy, very relaxed and a bit of theatre if you can sit at the teppanyaki bar. The french martini I had was delicious, as was the generous serving of Moreton bay bags. This is one of our favorite restaurants on the Gold Coast. The food is incredible, the overall experience is fantastic, and the staff are wonderful!
