I don't usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience here, as I was quite disappointed. I stopped in for a quick lunch and things didn't go well. I ordered the fish and chips, but the fish was dry and tough. Instead of the fries and peas that were mentioned on the menu, I received a small cup of coleslaw. My son ordered a grilled cheese, and the cheese wasn't even fully melted in the sandwich. Additionally, they advertise a small discount for cash payments, but that was not honored. Overall, I wouldn't return or recommend this place.
This used to be one of my favorite spots but it is not the same. The vibe and atmosphere is great but the wait for food ruined. It took us an hour and a half just to get food. The waiter was extremely apologetic about the delay which was nice but still not enough. I would say this was a one off but it has not been the case. Over and over the food is late. If you're looking for a place to grab a quick bite this isn't it.
My food was good. It was brunch, however, it was cold and so was my friends burger. Another friend had the Shepard pie and that was fine. The waitress was lovely and helpful. The attention to us was phenomenal, so they gladly re-heated our food. Priced right and a very cozy atmosphere. I would go again but I’d let them know beforehand that I wanted only hot food.
Attended an event in the meeting space. It was awesome. Private bar, ample space for 50+ people to socialize, network or just sit and eat. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to host a medium size casual business casual event.

St James is an excellent local restaurant!! Great food, ice cold drinks and truly the best service.. Kevin was the difference maker for us. He was friendly, continously check on us and made sure our drinks were always FULL!!Slainte!!!Pat Tishe
The fish and chips were bland and tough, while the coleslaw was overly vinegary. The chili seemed like it came straight from a can of Hormel. The only highlight was the Guinness beer cheese, which was quite good.
I called to check if I could bring a few friends to watch some sports games, and the person on the phone was quite rude and short with me. It certainly wasn't a great first impression.
Would defiantly put on my no-go list. Sketchy food and a bad atmosphere paired with the lowest level service is defiantly not ok.

1st time back in 15 years place went way downhill, especially the food.
Perfect local bar great bar food and a friendly staff
