A terrible service. I had been to these restaurants several times and ordered out frequently. I'm not sure what changed, but the service was the worst thing I experienced in DC. The server had no idea of something, saw lost and could not have social contacts. We then had to pour around water, there was no beverage menu nor knew server what could be served (server didn't know what a warehouse beer was), waited for over an hour for 3 sushi rolls, manager was useless and customer service absent. Empty plates were left on the table, even if new courses have arrived, until we explicitly suggested that they be removed. Eating was good, but not enough for the appalling service. Please restore this...
I’ve been looking for a great sushi restaurant and was told by many friends that Sakerum had an amazing happy hour menu called $5 Sake Hour. I visited their website and Yelp and was pleased with the reviews, pictures, and menu. However, I did not learn until I arrived that the menu had changed and many drink and food items were removed leaving a limited selection. Nonetheless, we ordered the sake (salmon) nigiri and spicy crunch salmon maki sushi, but loved the Kazan and Spicy Slap specialty rolls the most! Overall, good experience. Nice, quaint, and cozy restaurant, with a great ambiance.
Awful experience. Waited at the front desk there was no one to greet us for a while because she was handling 2 restaurants hosting stations! They ran out of Sake days before and never reordered. The portions were half of what they posted online. They also ran out of bitters for all their main cocktails. It was dead and the service was very slow after we ordered our meal. It was very overpriced for what we received. We will absolutely not be back!
My wife and I went for a late-night bite last Sunday and we were blown away. The space was dim, romantic, and date-night appropriate. We ordered miso soup, the Maguro and Arco roll, and wine. To our surprise when we asked for the bill, we were informed if we paid in cash 30% would be taken off (a Sunday special, perhaps). The atm next door made the offer worth it. I would highly recommend and plan to return soon.

Menu was misleading not very “Latin Asian” mostly sushi, but very good was the best part about the restaurant. The “bi level” part of the description of the restaurant is wrong. The second floor of the restaurant is apparently a completely different Greek restaurant belonging to the same owner. The service was terrible at the bar and the bartender was most on their phone.
Was in DC for the night and decided to stop by after seeing all the great reviews. And they were 100% right. The food and drinks were amazing the atmosphere was nice as well. Our server Paul was super helpful as well. Overall 10/10 experience and we definitely plan on returning next time we’re in DC!
We came and sat in a back room. No server was asked for a server and menu, finally received menus, but the server did not return for more than 15 minutes. After we are in the restaurant for 30 minutes without receiving services other than menus, we have gone.
Went for our friend’s birthday and sat on the rooftop. Waited over 1.5 hours for our sushi to come. Sushi was pretty average, not worth the expensive price.

We tried SAKERUM for the first time last night and the food was great! The plates were very tasty and well presented.
