"What an excellent sushi restaurant near Kensington Market! My favorite dish was the Organic King Salmon sushi, but we liked everything we ordered. The service was great, and the atmosphere lively."

I got the Saku Roll which contained tuna, scallop, coriander, cucumber, and jalapeño. L ordered the Energy Roll which contained prawn tempura, avocado, spicy tuna, and unagi. D’s Volcano Roll contained prawn tempura, avocado, spicy salmon, yam, and potato garnish. The rolls were absolutely gorgeous when paired together in the low light restaurant and were decently priced with eight rolls in each one.I liked the size of the rolls; not too big and definitely you were able to fit one entirely into your mouth if you didn’t have too many toppings on your roll. I liked the Saku Roll. It was creamy and slightly mushy. I think the mushiness was due to the rice. I didn’t taste too much of the scallop...

We stumbled in here at 10:00 pm when it was quieting down and had already been to a few other places, but a good selection of premium bottled sake at decent prices ($30-40 for 300 ml daiginjo), $10.99 pitcher of beer if you order some food. Friendly wait staff, the small amount of sushi we ordered was all interesting and good - ama-ebi (sweet shrimp) which few places in Toronto have regularly, unagi (eel) with crispy garlic on top was different from most cheapie places where they just drench it in brown sauce. Rice was firm and correct - a little more vinegar is my preference, but that's different for everyone. Owner and staff are almost all Korean, he's from Vancouver, so picky about fish q...

My husband and I went here for a date and it was the best sushi we've had in Toronto. We've been to quite a few other sushi spots, including some that were more expensive with more buzz but we enjoyed this way more. We got takoyaki to start, 2 rolls, and then the chef sushi special, which was an assortment of 12 pieces of sushi and by far the best dish. All the sushi was fresh and good quality, the service was friendly and fast, and the atmosphere is fun. Good place for a date or with friends. Can't wait to go back and get more of the chef sushi specials!

From Niagara, we headed to Queen West for the day and stopped in at Saku for sushi rolls based on a Trip Advisor ranking; we were not disappointed! My favourite was the Green Dragon roll and my daughters particularly loved the Yam and Avocado roll. Equal to the best we have tasted or even better. Service was excellent...I will return when I'm in this area again!
