Appalling. This was the third (and the last) time we have eaten at Sala. The first time, our take away order was botched (a mistake we were blamed for when we rang to discuss it). The second time the food was good and we were treated well. On the strength of the second visit, my partner and I recently took her Mother visiting from Germany to Sala for dinner. Upon arrival, we said hello, only to be told (off) in return that the place was completely booked. We informed an older lady behind the counter that we had a booking. Went out to Sala Thai for Father's Day dinner as Thai is my favourite food. I eat all over Australia and NZ regularly. I am not a fussy eater and rarely complain about food or service. On arrival at the restaurant I was expecting a full restaurant and a busy night. Restaurant was probably 30% full. First warning sign. Ordered 9 meals tonight with most of us sharing each other's food and therefore the comments are a group consensus rather than an individual view. We agreed the spring rolls, chicken pandan & chicken satay entree's were nice albeit the chicken satay sticks were a bit over cooked. Pad Thai main was tasty but very oily as was the fried rice. Cashew chicken was barely edible...

Another Great Thai. If you look back over my reviews you might notice that Thai restaurants keep popping up. Well Sala is one of my original favourites and during a visit last Saturday I realised I had never put a review here on Urbanspoon. That is an omission I am correcting now. The worst thing about living in the Adelaide Hills is that we have too many good restaurants to choose from however Sala Thai has always been one of our firm favourites and last Saturdays dinner was no exception. Their dishes are always fresh and excellent. None of the classic mistakes some thai restaurants make and of particular note are dishes like the "Sea Star" entree, the Basil Duck and any of their curries....

Friendly dining atmosphere with authentic Thai flavours. You can tell that it is a family owned and operated restaurant however seemed to lack a certain level of professionalism. In saying that the prices were very affordable and it was an enjoyable dining experience

We have been there twice and it was perfect every single time. The owners lead their restaurant with a lot of love and this is something you can feel and taste :-) beat restaurant in Stirling! Reserva una mesa ahora

We visit regularly as the food and service is consistently great. Delicious flavours, very friendly service and great portions. Great relaxed casual atmosphere suitable for any occasion.

Awesome. Love the food. Little pricey hence the 4.5 but great food. Good heat gage online and love te chicken chilli basil , satay chicken is brilliant all in all good food
