with great expectations and much starving we visited the ristorante salerno on one night. we had reserved a table in the afternoon, but the reservation had gone down and so we had to wait about 10 minutes for a table. the ambiente is not bad, although it is too crowded and too tight in the evening at peak times in the upper area. long waiting times, unfriendly service and unofficial owners. who has claustrophibie should avoid the first etage, there were so many tables that you can hardly move. the foods are moderate to bad, noodles boiled, tough steak, fish overwürzt. I had been looking forward to the baccalaru, apparently, watered too short and so salty that he was unniceable. he left him to go back to the bill. waiter and owner did not want to cancel the court, only after a long, tough discussion he then agreed to.
overall positive experience. the very beautiful and well maintained environment, the service also. as far as eating is concerned, I ordered a margherita. it must be said that it is not the classic Italian pizza, but rather a version adapted to the taste of the German customers, but as italian I found them still good. the price is not really cheap (6,70 €), but from an Italian restaurant in the country it can be accepted. a good dinner, I think I'll be back!

we were there with 8 people, had reserved and that worked very well. most of us had pizza, from which everyone was enthusiastic. also the pasta (1 person) was very good. the service was friendly. the restaurant is more rustic, not a noble Italian, but a solid restaurant with good value for money would go back.
I was visiting during my trip to heidelberg in this restaurant. Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience. the pizza was inedible, tough and tasteless. very unfriendly staff. above average prices. I will not return in any case!
very nice service. eating my friend was good. my noodles were boiled and the sauce tasted after nothing. spaghetti frutti di mare not recommended.
I really don't want to look superb, but this is by far the best pizza I've ever eaten. I didn't get any better in Italian either.

finally found again a very good Italian in heidelberg. a real Italian - nice people, good atmosphere and super pizza!
