This is undoubtedly one of the best places for steak tacos in the Chicago area, and that's no exaggeration. I've sampled plenty at many renowned spots. This humble restaurant is likely overlooked by many hungry patrons, but don’t miss out—stop in and enjoy some fantastic Mexican cuisine. The beef soup is exceptional, the tortillas are amazing, and the tacos are simply outstanding. The service is top-notch as well. This place truly takes pride in its food, and it shows. When it comes to restaurants coming in clutch, I doubt anywhere I eat will ever top this place. Back in November 2019, I got stranded in Chicago when a snowstorm blew in and turned my hour or so layover into a one-night stay at a dingy motel. Food is good service and management is an issue, The sign on the door says open till 9 PM but when you go there on the Thursday evening it's closed at 8:22 PM Well closed for some people as there was a family inside in the restaurant enjoying their meal, I cannot continue to support a restaurant with the prices that food costs nowadays for this
How this place only has 4.5 stars and not 5 is beyond me. Evening tasted fresh and was amazing. They make everything day of and it shows, I could taste the freshness of the peppers in the green sauce. The refried beans are so good they make you pause. the sopes just pure flavor. I'm only in town for 3 days and I'll be back

Food was delicious and fresh. Service was very friendly. We will definitely come back again. I do recommend they update the pricing on their menus since they are the old prices before inflation hit.
Absolutely fabulous food. Travelled straight from Australia and met Juan the owner. Family owned for years and the foods spectacular. Nice meeting you mate. Great find.!!
Great food every time. Owners are fantastic. Nice place to take the family or a date night. They have a lot going on and you can have events next door.
There were a lot of flies, and the food wasn't very good. I’m giving it 2 stars because the rice was decent. They have room for improvement.

Genuine Mexican cuisine at its finest. The prices are reasonable, and the Micheladas are excellent.
