Great atmosphere and dining area. The patio area is very large and has a pretty koi pond. The food was delicious. All of the sauces are great- my favorite is the Hotangy. The white cheddar cracker mac and sweet pepper potato salad were flavorful sides. The service was friendly. We were surprised about how quickly our food came out after ordering! Highly recommend Salt Smoke.Parking: Ample parking along the street, may need to park a little farther down but there are nice sidewalks.Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free items on the menu, and gluten free buns available.

If you're ever on St Charles main street and want to eat outside on a patio, this is your place. Ample shade down in the bottom part of the patio, very friendly customer service from the waiters and hostess/host. Great atmosphere except for the amount of flies and bees if you sit by the plants. Food is delicious. I got the chicken sandwich and chili and would recommend both. The toasted ravioli appetizer is amazing! Never heard any complaints about the brisket sandwich or the macaroni and cheese side dish, either.I will definitely be back.

As for the service, Travis is outstanding! This restaurant is fortunate to have him; such dedicated staff are rare. He is well-versed in the menu and ingredients, a great people person, and very attentive. Vegetarian options: Yes Kid-friendly: Yes Parking: Street parking is available. The ambiance is pleasant, with both patio and indoor dining available right on Main Street. While I understand that many people are fond of their BBQ, I found the food to be just average. The pulled pork was not fatty, but it also lacked juiciness and flavor. Additionally, the coleslaw was quite bland. We LOVED it!!! So good!! Meats are great quality, great flavor, and so tender. Loved brisket, chicken, and fries!!! All the sauces are great! The fried pickles are sweet so if you prefer dill, they aren't for you. The eggs were good but lacking a little flavor. Service was very friendly and quick and the outdoor seating was very nice.

This is some of the best BBQ we've ever had. The meat is incredibly tender, and the sauce flavors are absolutely amazing. The creamed corn and popovers are truly perfect as well. I also appreciate that the patio is dog-friendly, and the staff clearly loves dogs. This food is not just good; it's GREAT!

I arrived shortly after opening time. Placed my order. Wait time wasn't bad. Grab my order drive home to North County only to discover. They forgot my Cole slaw. I ordered the brisket, burnt ends brisket ravioli.Brisket was a bit dry. The ends were the STAR!!!! Ravioli was a close second.

We actually ate at the Salt Smoke in Ballpark Village, but I couldn't find that one listed on Trip Advisor. The food was excellent, as well as the service. We had pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. The pulled pork was our favorite. We would highly recommend and would go back. Reserva una mesa ahora

Great place for a quick bite to eat. It's located in historic St. Charles and the street views were nice. The pulled pork sandwich was good, as were the fries. The sodas are made in Illinois, and the R Pep was delicious. I liked that it was made with Pure Cane sugar.

Was a nice little BBQ, with a big selection of Bourbon. Was looking to indulge in some ribs and they did not disappoint. They also had a Walnut old fashion that was amazing.
