We had our wedding ceremony and reception in the secret walled garden behind the farmhouse. Everything about the day was perfect. The new owner, Emma, is unfailingly calm, reassuring and charming but clearly worked her socks off for us behind the scenes. The location is just wonderful and we had lots of comments about how classy the day was. No 2 year waiting list either we decided to get married in July and did the deed in September, and Emma didn’t bat an eyelid when we approached her. I’m sure she’ll get booked out soon once people discover her, though, so get in quick if you want an unfussy, romantic country wedding in one of England’s loveliest beauty spots.

This is new my go to place for Breakfast in Eastbourne. Fantastic food, exceptional service and beautiful location. Thoroughly enjoy 'The works ' breakfast, with special mention to the sausages! If you have room, I would recommend one of the sweet treats on display. Recently had a Biscoff Blondie and it was brilliant! Well worth a visit

A money-making endeavour to rip off the ‘tens of thousands’ of yearly customers who sadly have no other nearby option when visiting the area. Dirty seating area, tea served in a metal coffee pot and tiny overpriced portions of tasteless food. Owners obviously think it is far, far better than it really is. A depressing experience.

Saltmarsh Farmhouse is very pleasant small hotel. Room was rustic and confortable. Food they prepare is very tasty. The nature near to the hotel is equisite.

Had an excellent breakfast there today before a long walk. The food was cooked fresh, they opened on time and the staff very very friendly and efficient.
