We had a nice breakfast here! The servers were very friendly, the decor was nice (and fun!) and inviting the atmosphere. The raspberry almond pancakes that made them a smiling face for the child were delicious and 2 was much more than the child could eat! The hot chocolate was stacked with whipped cream. We had cookies and Gravy with scrambled eggs that were tasty and filled. Also the daily special storm was good. The mochas were served in glass cups. We appreciate the outdoor heating in the early morning.

Sam's Log Cabin, located at 945 San Pablo Ave./Solano Ave. in Albany, can be reached at (510) 558-0494. It's open for breakfast and lunch from Tuesday to Sunday, and they do not take reservations. Built in 1930 from a Sears Roebuck catalog kit, this charming log cabin features wooden floors, delicate lace curtains, and cozy banquettes lining the walls, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Breakfast was delicious and the service was amazing. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. We tried the raspberry and almond pancakes, corned beef hash, huevos rancheros, Mac n cheese, and the corn chowder. Everything was tasty from start to finish. The portion sizes are quite large. Also if you love fresh orange juice, you have to get a glass. Would absolutely eat here again.

Welcome to this breakfast and lunch spot! The beautiful outdoor terrace adds a lovely touch, and the food is fantastic, complemented by excellent coffee. I've tried several menu items, including the daily scramble, corned beef hash, and fried chicken sandwich, all of which were delicious. Amazing food, service and location. A wonderful place to get breakfast (6 people max). Make sure to wait out front after you put your name down. I recommend spending the time waiting out front to look over the menu. Hosts and servers are very kind and helpful. Food is really amazing, the French toast is quite scrumptious.

Good food but not great service. They make you get up a go to a station across the restaurant to get water, hot sauce and coffee refills. Then the bill comes and the automatic tipping options start at 20%. If I have to get up from my table to put my meal together, that isn’t full service and isn’t worth 20%.

The food here is delicious! I highly recommend their homemade corned beef hash—it's fantastic. Although it's a bit on the pricey side, the quality of the food makes it worth it. The coffee is also excellent. Plus, the restaurant has a really cool atmosphere!
