San Mateo Prime

prime rib was one of the best we had. the server were attentive. stars are based on what happened after dinner. a service fee (swtsc chg) of 19.8% was added to the bill. there was no display on the menu, no signs / labels published. no disclosure when we made our reservation. well, maybe it's on the gratulation? we thought the swtsc chg went to happiness a little less than we usually give for good service, but okay, it doesn't matter that we are forced to pay congratulate. apparently this service fee does not go to the servers or wait employees as luck! I think it's a deceptive. who makes this service charge accurate.. we will not return and support other institutions that can explain why they are charged a service fee and who gets the money. extremely disappointed.

If you love the house of Prime Rib in San Francisco.... You will enjoy San Mateo Prime....Prime Rib was very good... The Salat Yorkshire pudding was great...and I didn't have to wait 3 months at a 7:00 reservation....?

Excellent service and food. Very friendly owner visited our booth to make sure everything was good. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

They let us share a 16oz beef, even gave us an extra pop pie!! Which was very eggy and crispy and yummy. Good service and decent beef.

The main rib of this place is quite delicate and tasteful. Good alternative to House of Prime Rib in SF.
