Jill and I were hungry for a new restaurant in the area. We are mostly Vegan, and no grains, no sugar. It is challenging, but well worth it. We found Sandy’s off the beaten track, just behind RIM Park. When we called ahead with our requests which included Vegan and no MSG, we were met with a very friendly helpful voice. Our needs could be met at Sandy’s. The restaurant was in a relatively new small plaza. We were greeted with a wide smile. The place was immaculately clean. We have been trying Sandy's takeout and occasional dine-in and it has been a reliable, and dependable Chinese food restaurant for us. Most of the time with other places we found that at least one dish was cold not quite that good, but with Sandy's it has been consistent to be hot and to order. The dishes we tried are the typical ones (General Tso the soups rice dishes combo's) and overall they have been dependable. Worth a try!

I have eaten here 3 times in the last month and had to leave a quick note. Sandy is so nice and accommodating. Everybody who I dined with agreed the food was fresh and not of the mall food Chinese style. I love the chicken wings so crispy light. Ask for her recommendations and she will detail each dish. Nice out of the way spot with plenty of parking. Truly one of Waterloo 's hidden gems.

Fairly new, Sandy's Chinese Restaurant is a great find. Sandy is there most times to great and serve her customers. The food is great as almost every Chinese restaurant has a taste of there own. Small restaurant with LCBO license and seating for 20 people. A must try from your regular Chinese stop, you will not be disappointed. Bill Wendy Weston ; Food Critic

We've been ordering the sizzling skillet of pineapple chicken along with a noodle or rice dish the last several times we've been here and it is our favourite dish. The sauce is really good and makes the dish. It makes my mouth water just typing about it. Sandy recommended the dish and she is very pleasant. One of our favourite restaurants now. JB from Elmira

Whenever we thought of Chinese food we will think of Sandy's. They used to own the one on University Plaza but now reopened at this new plaza. They have nice food and nice choices, never let us down. We could go there anytime and always got good service. Happy they are back! Their take-outs were great too, enough to feed a good of people.

Not the world's best food but pretty good. The chicken fried rice was not really fried just sort of soggy and since I had ordered beef fried rice and got chicken, not super impressed. The beef rice noodle dish was quite good. If I went back, I'd only order it.

I have eaten here a few times, and thoroughly enjoyed the choices of dishes that we made. The portions were generous sizes. The restaurant is not large so it is a nice quiet place to enjoy a meal. The staff provided excellent service.

Not what we ordered and had to wait without order that we phoned ahead for ,also she ordered no peppers and surprised to get them since my wife is allergic to peppers.This is poor customer service for that reason I will not go back.

First time at Sandy’s Kitchen. We had a very good lunch. Our server was Sandy : Our meals arrived hot, plentiful and delicious. We will recommend and we will definitely be returning!
