We celebrated my wife's birthday at Sapore Italiano, and it was the perfect choice once again. Our favorite table on the porch was ready for us—a lovely spot that was both quiet and romantic. The service was excellent, and the food exceeded our expectations, much better than during the summer rush, which was already quite good. The seafood was fresh, and the portions were generous. Each dish was bursting with flavor, cooked to perfection, and served hot. My wife had some minor adjustments to her selections, and they were gladly accommodated, leaving her very satisfied. I've been visiting this restaurant for five years and have always enjoyed its lovely atmosphere. However, this time, the music was quite disappointing. They played contemporary pop music aimed at younger audiences, and I didn't recognize a single song. As I'm 60 years old, it seemed the majority of the other customers were around the same age or older. When we choose a fine dining experience, we anticipate a more relaxing ambiance with music like Italian tunes or classical pieces. My spouse and I went to Sapore to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and I did mention this when making the reservation through open table. The server was nice but clearly paid more attention to the bigger tables he waited on. Asking them what they were celebrating and making sure they had everything they needed. He never asked us if we were celebrating anything and we had to stop him to ask for drinks and for parmigiana cheese to go with our dinner, which was almost done by the time we got it. The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere! This was the only disappointment!

There are reasons why Sapore was very busy on a Thursday in October at 5:45 p.m: Terrific food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. In addition, the portions are large and the prices are very reasonable. Beyond that....IT'S A BYOB!!!!! My wife and I had another outstanding dinner at Sapore last night. We live in town and have always brought our out-of-town guests to support because it is the best quality restaurant in town. The food is always consistently good and well prepared. The hostesses are efficient and very pleasant. The servers are a high-quality and very accommodating. We always seem to see people we know when we dine at Sapore. That tells you if the locals eat here, it must be very good. Don't change a thing.

Good was excellent as usual. Edmir was attentive and paced the dinner perfectly so we could visit with friends. We did not rushed and received our food in a timely manner piping hot. Every entre was perfect and our visiting guests were so thankful that we brought them to Sapore for dinner. Thank you for a great dining experience again.

Great experience! Our first time and we are foodies! The food was stellar and the service was excellent. Max was our server! BYOB is always a nice touch and they are great about letting you know ahead of time (it's on the sign of the restaurant). Hope we come back to Cape May soon so we can return to this amazing establishment???!

Sapore never fails to be one of the best meals you can get in Cape May. The food is amazing, always delicious and prepared perfectly. The wait staff is very attentive and the ambiance is perfect. The server Olga was excellent! The food was amazing. The Brurata salad was so tasty. My husband had 3 varieties of Gnocchi and I had the Flounder with crab meat. I never tasted flounder this delicious. My husband loved the Gnocchi. We will definitely return.

Food was good in the past it was exceptional. We were a little disappointed. Also, we went to celebrate a birthday which we noted in reservation and they didn't mention it at all.
