Food is all stale and SPOILED. Baigan bharta was spoiled and when we complained he said it was kept outside!!! What nonsense?! Then he admitted that taste is changed and it was sour!! He brought another bharta which was also bakwas!! Believe me this place is waste of money.Another 2 sabji was also odd in taste, sev tameta sabji was all sweet in taste!!! Khaman was old and hard!Container of ghee and gol and pickle was used by previous people and that's why it's covers were all sticky and other people touched with used hand... When we reached there at 8:30 pm on a Sunday, we expected to see it buzzing with people. As it is in Edison and has a large Indian community. But it was empty and we were the only ones. So we did not expect much, but due to the lateness and hunger cramps we decided to just get on with it and eat. When the food arrived we were blown away by the freshness and the authentic taste. We will defined go back when we visit NJ.

We arrived around the same time as two other customers, and the restaurant was empty when we walked in. However, the server's attitude drove all three of us away while we were trying to order our food. I understand that not all requests can be accommodated, but the server acted as if they didn't care whether we chose to eat there or not.

The food is good—while not extraordinary, it's hearty and full of soul. The thali, in particular, offers excellent value for money. Kathiyawadi cuisine is generally spicier than typical Gujarati dishes, so if you're sensitive to heat, I suggest ordering a kadhi or raita to balance the flavors.
The restaurant's sign says it opens at 11:30 AM, but it was closed when we arrived. They informed us that it actually opens at 12:30 PM. This was frustrating due to the poor communication from the current management.
I wouldn't recommend visiting this restaurant. If you're looking for authentic Punjabi food, I suggest going elsewhere. The naan is frozen and just warmed up, and the paneer bhurji had a terrible taste.
