This visit was a one-time experience for us, and WE ARE DEFINITELY NOT COMING BACK! My friend and I were really in the mood for baked catfish and had initially planned to dine at Thien An Bo 7 Mon in Rosemead. Unfortunately, they weren 't open at the time, so we decided to give a new place, Sau Can Tho, a try. I had brought my own drink into the restaurant but was also prepared to order something else. We placed an order for the $80 baked catfish. The only issue we encountered was with our server, Mike. He seemed unhappy and pointed out that I already had a drink with me. Due to his demeanor, I politely asked for just a glass of water instead. After placing our order, we felt a bit uncomfort...

I ordered a family-style dinner for $125, but I found the portions to be quite small. The clay pot fish dish barely included any fish, and the fried whole tilapia was close to spoiling; it was overcooked and too greasy. The clam dish was also disappointing, consisting mostly of gravy with no more than a dozen clams, many of which were already dead before cooking. The quality of the dishes was generally poor, although the Canh Chua Catfish was acceptable. We also ordered additional à la carte dishes like shaken beef and venison, but there was hardly any meat—most of it was just a few pieces resting on a bed of raw vegetables. Considering the current inflation, this restaurant is overpriced fo...

I also ordered shrimp spring rolls to meet the $18 minimum for card payments (in my case, Apple Pay). They had a unique taste, probably thanks to the shrimp, and were nice and refreshing. The portion size was great, and the peanut sauce had just the right amount of spice. I heard some cleanliness concerns mentioned in other reviews, but I found the place to be clean and pleasant, with some charming music that I hadn't heard before. After chatting with the owner, I learned that the restaurant focuses on home-cooked Vietnamese food. If this is what home cooking tastes like, then I've definitely been missing out on Vietnamese cuisine for too long. Thank you to Sàu for making my day and broade...

My family and I love coming here for their baked catfish combos as well as their Canh Chua combos. Their tamarind shrimp is also very flavorful and delicious. Their pricing is on the more pricey side but definitely worth the penny. The service is always very attentive but can be slow when there is a crowd. For the most part, the restaurant is very clean. The parking lot is shared amongst the other restaurants/shops within the plaza but there is plenty! Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant is known for its catfish, but since there were only two of us for dinner, we couldn't order it. However, we tried several other dishes that were excellent, and the lady who took our orders was incredibly helpful and friendly. She recommended some great options, and we had a wonderful time with delicious food. We'll definitely be back to try the catfish with more friends!

Ignored to be seated, and once FINALLY seated, ignored at the table. We got up and left, so I have no idea how good the food might be. It was fairly full, but not so busy that I feel we were unreasonable in getting up and leaving. We won't be back. Golden Delight right across the street is a far better experience!

We visited on Saturday and felt that the food we ordered did not justify the price we paid. The quality of the dishes has declined significantly. The portions were small, with minimal meat and excessive vegetables filling large plates. We won't be returning!

This is my favorite Vietnamese Kitchen known for Catfish so delicious. I have nothing bad to say only but positive feedback, good service reasonable price. I am definitely going to be a regular customer here. Reserva una mesa ahora
