"This is my go to cafe for excellent croissants- plain, choc, almond. Haven't found better in Perth. Tucked away behind the Astor Theatre"

When I read the reviews, I feel like I didn't go to the same patisserie as the others!! I went there with a friend of mine as we always go to a French bakery or restaurant when we meet up as it reminds us of home. When we arrived we didn't know if they'd speak French so we ordered in English. When we heard the strong French accent, we started to speak in French. But the waiter kept answering back in English. He was being so rude to us with the way of talking back to us. Being French ourselves, we'd be used to it, but this was next level. Not a smile, just a few words like we were annoying or bothering him. We noticed that he was being nice to the other customers... He always looked in a rush...

The Mount Lawley precinct in Perth is a long term favourite, hence I was surprised to find this great little place which I somehow, unfortunately, missed. Although it was a busy public holiday, the service was excellent indeed. The coffee was strong and not sour, as some coffees seem to be here in Perth for some unknown reason. I had a plain croissant. It was serves with butter and jam and was as tasty as it was plain. Beautiful That's all I ask of a croissant. And surprisingly, the owners remembered me on my next visit, to the level of what coffee I like. If this is not good service, I don't know what is. Will definitely return, and if you do, try the beautifully moist orange cake, too.

We've been coming here since the boys opened the shop have never ever had a poor meal. I always end up with the Catalan Sandwich as I am DETERMINED to find out exactly how it is made. My husband always likes whatever I order for him so I can have a sneaky taste. We've introduced so many friends here they fall in love with it as well. We always order extra Quiche Lorraines Sausage Rolls for the freezer.

This little patisseri is the golden find! The pastries are perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and the prices are no more than the average. The French gentleman proprietar doesn't speak perfect English, but far better than my few words of French. Don't let the faded facade fool you, this is a gem. Plus dogs are catered for with a water bowl.
