A beautiful place to enjoy and stay. The ambience is really brilliant and also fits the castle and the Schank economy. The food should be adapted to the Middle Ages, therefore the name knight's dinner. Well, I couldn't have had more experience with knight dinner, but it tasted. Problem was more with the Schank economy, as it took forever until we got something to drink. We were 30 people present and probably, as everywhere- staff shortage clearly perceptible. It is certainly also difficult to adjust to all guests, but at about 22 a.m. the tiredness of the staff was noticeable.
Highly recommended! We stumbled on this wonderful restaurant on our trip to Wolkenstein castle the other day and were so pleased with the quality of the food and service that we simply had to go again for seconds. The staff is very friendly and accommodating, and the food is first rate. The venison goulash is absolutely to die for, and the pork ribs have to be tried to be believed. Also, make sure you leave room for the Apfelstudel.

We happened upon this restaurant which is not well enough advertised outside you have to venture into the castle forecourt to find it and found a restaurant that served delicious food (very friendly service) in the original setting of the old castle vaults.

Large, cozy economy with vaulted cellar. Absolutely back when you visit Wolkenstein. We had warmed up with tea and mulled wine in the Erzgebirge and had a nice time.
