We visited lake tegernsee on our way to Innsbruck from Munich and stopped at the tourist information office for advice on a good lunch spot. The restaurant is in a great position right next to the lake with a nice outdoor seating area. We sat...outside and when I asked the waitress if she had an English menu she just pointed and said ‘inside’. I had to go and get the menu myself even though she was going back and forth inside to get food. After we had ordered drinks the weather turned colder and we asked if we could move to an inside table and she started ranting in German and waving her arms. I asked her if their was a problem but she ignored me and walked away. As we had already had drinks and ordered our meal we decided to stay but it was very unpleasant and we couldn’t wait to leave. I would NOT recommend this restaurant based on the service we received even if the food was excellent(which it wasn’t, very average local fare)

Since Tegernsee is not already a great location, this is the perfect place for a nice lunch with friends outside right by the lake. Very professional service at large tables, good food and beer as well as traditional Bavarian dishes in a great display...and taste. A little less hectic and busy than the adjacent Braeustueberl directly at the parking lot.

Very nice location, close to Lake Tegern. In a robust and Bavarian atmosphere, with a waitress in traditional clothes. German and English menu with innovative and traditional dishes. Tip: Best Wiener Schnitzel in the region. Other tip: Everything we had was great!

Terrible service! It took them an hour and a half to get our plates! They did not tell us that the grill was not working! Go somewhere else!!

Excellent location just outside the beautiful Klosteranlage Tegernsee on the lake. Great food and fast service. Mostly locals.
