A great place with a long history. My grandfather and my father were regular guests and I want to continue this tradition. The beer garden in the backyard is shaded and cool. The Schober family is always dedicated to the best service. The menu can be overlooked from time to time, but offers something for everyone. The place is also ideal for playing cards.
Rustic, friendly, sometimes grumpy, almost always well visited: this is THE OTTO in Deggendorf. For many years the Otto has been an institution. This is where students, teachers, students and university teachers meet and those who have nothing to do with teaching and learning.
Cult up ten! The most likely last time for this summer after a bike tour in the chestnut beer garden enjoyed a pointed curry sausage, a beer with it and Otto's joke on bicycle helmet and falling chestnuts. I'll miss it. But the next summer will come!

Very nice pub, incredibly nice host, beer is very good and the curry sausage is highly recommended. A little off the tourist streams.
At Otto there's super chili and by far the best curry sausage in Deggendorf. Just a guade ****. Also a super cozy beer garden!
