Schooners' Fish & Chips

I am new to The County and decided to stop for fish and chips on my own. I entered the eating area which appears to be a room at the front of a converted house/ restaurant... There was one person at another table and a man waiter) wandering around. I waited almost 10 minutes before asking if I would be served. After getting a curt reply I waited only about another minute then walked out. I can't believe that this is even a business... Establishment is old and run down. I won't be returning.

My favourite restaurant in The County. It has, no doubt in my mind, the best Fish Chips I've ever had. On top of that it's served in the classic newspaper style. The Cook and owner, Greg, is a delight to talk to whilst waiting (and watching your food cook (pre-covid ofc. . Also I would highly recommend the deep-fried cheese curds.

For a little town near the Sandbanks and along lake Ontario this place was neat. All cooked right in front of you while the establishment is made out from a old house. Atmosphere has a sailor look and very well decorated. Fish was juicy with every bite, fresh hand cut fries. Good way to end a awesome swim at Lake Ontario.

The old guy on the grill seemed be be in a consistent state of annoyance, and there was an overall confusion to everything going on it seemed. The waitress with Pink hair seemed nice but lacked basic skills in mathematics. The food was OK overall, and of average quality. The batter was nice the but chowder was Lukewarm. This is a family owned outlet. At least that's what the cook server owner told me. Had shrimps and chips while my wife had fish. All good except that it's open only three days a week, on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
