Restaurant Schlossbergterassen offers you a peaceful and quiet terrace from view over the Moselle. The waiter is an older man called Joseph (probably Polish), who runs the terrace like it is his life's work. Making an entertaining talk with all the guests and offering advice when needed. Already the view and the cold drinks make this restaurant worth a visit. The food is good and the portions certainly enough. It would be impossible to evaluate this restaurant as something unusual, not for Josef! Although the food is good and good, and the view is spectacular, and 'lucky hour' (4 6pm) is excellent value with wine at half price none of these things, separated or combined, the impact on your well-being that Josef has!!! Josef, the waiter (not sure if he's the owner) will welcome you warmly, to speak with you in one of his 7/8 languages, make the feeling that you are a special guest at his party, and without a doubt he will want to return you back and forth. Every good restaurant should have a Josef.
On the hill and away from the lively main Bernkastel area, we found this nice restaurant with a large terrace overlooking the river. Had the best sekco of our trip, and the best Cordon bleu carving and fries too! Very friendly Joseph talked to us and signed our guestbook (then read our comments to him because he really does not read English! So funny). Will be back if we ever return to BK!
from the pedestrian zone, you can reach the schossberg terraces with a good home cooking. the waiter is an older man despite his age quite flink in the service. you don't need to wait long for eating. the food had tasted super, was lovingly dressed.price/ services vote here. in any case worth a visit!
