we came to lunchtime and it was very hot. the beer garden outside with its sun umbrellas offered sufficient shade and seating. through the location a little off the promenade it was also not a problem to get a table. the service was very fast, friendly and the drinks were almost brought in record time. the seaman plate lasted although cold but felt very long. the fish was thoroughly good and the smoked aal even very fine in taste. the announced crabs were unfortunately not (see photo) and I found these only with something sneemerrettich a bit too dry. we ordered a portion of homemade remoulade to it and this is really worth mentioning. the aal courts are certainly a recommendation, the in-house aalucherei supplies the ingredients for it. I'll be back.
we were on 1st mai with 6 people (4 adult 2 children) eating here at lunchtime. we had reserved and got kindly assigned a own room in the back area of the restaurant. here we have felt relocated by the cozy decor and loving decoration around 100 years - in a positive sense. the service was very friendly. the beverages (good white wines, pleasantly tempered) were served immediately and also for eating we did not have to wait long. I had cutterscholle finkenwerder art. this was really big, perfectly prepared and extremely tasty. we were very satisfied and come back with security. very recommended.
