I had a terrible experience at The Scotsman last week. The food quality was awful and I would not eat there again even if it was free. The pub itself is nice and the decor is pleasant. The food presentation was good, but the taste was terrible. We ordered a large selection of dishes including a mixed grill, naan bread, chicken curry, and chips. The mixed grill was overseasoned and the chicken curry was the worst I've ever had. Despite the friendly staff, many diners in our party of six got food poisoning. When I emailed the restaurant about this, they ignored my complaint. This was one of the worst experiences I've had at an Indian restaurant and I would not go back, even if it was free.
Oh my goodness! This restaurant serves the best Indian food I have ever had, and I have been to India twice this year! The dishes are spicy, but not too overpowering, and packed with incredible flavor. The combination of mint, ginger, curry, tomato, and richness is mind-blowing. The Puri and Nan bread were flavorful and served on a rack. The grilled lamb was delicious. Surprisingly, the prices were quite affordable. The restaurant itself is nothing fancy, but when the food is this good, it doesn't matter.
Went to the Scotsman on New Year’s Day for dinner with guests from Dubai For starters we had Mix grill Afghan Nan Papdi chat Garlic Mogo The starters were very good Great taste the chat was really good 10/10 Garlic mogo was tasty had a good spice to it The mix grill was perfect nicely cooked For main we had a lamb karahi chicken tikka masala and nans All dishes were perfect and the portions were right Overall a good night out service was good and a shout out to Sukh
This Indian pub located in a back street is fantastic. They offer a great selection of beers, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff is really good. The food was delicious and overall, a great experience. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it was too busy and the food service was slow. The mixed grill was good, but we prefer to order dishes separately. I will definitely be coming back and next time, it will be a 5-star review.

Scotsman is a classic pub. Great Indian food in the local area if you stick to the right stuff. If you order a few of these options you won't be disappointed. Chicken Lollipop. Chilli Chicken. Chilli Paneer. Lamb Karahi. Lamb Tava. Scotty Lamb Chops. Chilli Fish. Afghan Garlic Naan (sharing Naan) Their butterchicken is only good if you like sweet butterchicken if not might not be for you. Stick to any of these and you won't be upset.
Been coming here for years, never really had time to put a review out but I will say this, it a pure Jem of a pub!! Excellent atmosphere, a proper pub, sports on tv, two great pool tables and above all,, the food is probably the best in the area!!. Great crowd too, welcoming to all. Give it a go, if you haven't already. You won't be disappointed. A great establishment with good vibes.
I recently dined at a cozy pub/restaurant located off the beaten path, and I was absolutely blown away by the food. I sampled a variety of dishes and each one was delicious. The food was served hot and fresh, and I have been on the hunt for the best grill in town, and this place is definitely it. The dishes were expertly prepared and I left completely satisfied.
I have been to alot of Indian pubs in my time and we had planned on going to another pub first but they were full. The next option was the scotsman which was fantastic the food was better than I ever expected and service was 2nd to none. A big thank you to Sukh and the team for fantastic service.

This is a nice neighborhood pub with outdoor seating. They offer a variety of typical drinks and have a backyard garden. It's a great spot for a casual drink or two. The staff is friendly and the food is quite tasty.
Severely over priced. Panner and mogo were both burnt. Nann was doughy. Won't be ordering again. Really disappointed as food use to be really good.
