The food was really nice. Completely recommendable. But the costumer service needs to be better. We’ve been hosted by a guy with grey hair that has all the will to not serve us. First he says that was full, can happen, and has not less than 30 minutes to have a free table, thing that wasn’t true because a table was already charged and leaving. After that, he told us that has no waiting list and we can’t wait inside because has no waiting area. Outside was raining and I was w my two grandparents. 3 minutes after that table left and if we didn’t insist to stay inside, we would be waiting outside. After that, a tall lady serve us, that was warm and kind. I would come back, but definitely dodge...
I cannot talk about the food but about the attention. My husband and my daughter wanted to surprise me fory birthday and made a reservation for 16th August. For whatever reason they called them to confirm the date after the table had been booked and they reassured them it was for the 16th. When we arrived they told us (in quite a rude tone) they were a 100% sure the table had been booked for 15th August. Not having a table booked in Portree in August meant going back home to have a sandwich. They ruined the surprise and my 8yo was deeply disappointed.
Bad service. Never seen worse...more than 20 minutes waiting before we could even order something to drink...that in the summer! With small children! Others got their drinks, starters etc before we could order...this is a joke. You cannot have a main. You are charged the same as if you're taking two courses. You can't finish your sentences, you get interrupted when you order... no thanks. Can't recommend
Fortunately, I made a reservation in advance. The restaurant staff all smiled and introduced the food patiently. The salmon looks ordinary, but it is super tender and unexpectedly tender. The waiter recommended Monkfish, which is very delicious. Finally, the meal ends with a hot dessert. It's an unforgettable memory

A very small but charming and welcoming place facing the bay. Very few courses to choose from but extremely tasty. Very fast service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Reservation necessary given the small size of the place. Fixed price: 2 courses £32.5, 3 courses £38.5. Highly recommended
I was lucky enough to get the last table without a reservation. I only had one hour to dine, but the experience was very good during this hour. Mussel and Sea bass are both great! I will make a reservation in advance next time I come here.
What a lovely restaurant on the Quay at Portree. Very relaxed atmosphere. A great selection of fresh seafood. I had the cured trout with horseradish creme fraiche and capers followed by the monkfish scampi. Very tasty!
They only have two people, so service could be a bit slow. The internet connection is also pretty poor inside. However, the food is just fantastic and I like every dish ordered. Extremely pleased. Great restaurant!
