The restaurant may be simple and basic in decor, but the food is delicious. We ordered a ribeye steak, pasta with cream sauce, mushrooms and chicken, and green risotto with shrimp. Everything was flavorful. The pasta was creamy without being greasy, the steak was tender and juicy, and the risotto was tasty. The portion sizes were generous. The wine selection was limited, but decent. The only downside was the lack of customers, although it made for a quiet and pleasant evening. The staff was very courteous and attentive.
We had a burger with chips and a vegetable pasta. The burger and the chips were ok, not better than McDonald's or Burger King but ok. There was also some onion chutney that I liked a lot. The vegetable pasta was just bad. We were not expecting a super delicious pasta but this was really really bad quality! I'm not a cook but with pasta and some vegetables i will make you something delicious and not charge you 16£.
The restaurant is inside the Lodge by the Loch, doesn't say Sea Salt Cafe anywhere I could see. Breakfast was great, coffee was good, great price. Service was great. Definitely an older building, but not moldy or dirty as mentioned in other reviews. I would definitely eat here again, especially if I was traveling through. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here! We came very early in the season and we're the only people here but the staff was incredibly kind and the food was SUPERB! Dining in at this restaurant for dinner was a fantastic experience. The food was excellent, receiving a 5-star rating. The service was top-notch, also earning a 5-star rating. The atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere, which also received a 5-star rating.
We enjoyed a freshly cooked breakfast. Delighted that it wasn't a buffet style breakfast as quality wasn't compromised. Hopefully be able to return and stay again with the lovely views. A beautiful part of Scotland. Service: Dine in Meal type: Breakfast Price per person: £10–20
