Sehmi Japanese Restaurant

I was in the mood for Japanese food, so I decided to try this restaurant after reading reviews on Urbanspoon. My boyfriend and I ordered the grilled mackerel, chopped scallop roll, and sashimi bento box B. In terms of Toronto standards, we found the quality to be above average for the price. Our favorite dish was the chopped scallop roll, which had a generous amount of scallops and roe inside along with crunchy tempura flakes on the outside. The shrimp tempura from the sashimi bento box was a bit small, but it was freshly fried and had a light batter, so it was still satisfying. The sashimi was fairly fresh, and the grilled mackerel was pretty good as well.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. If you're looking for a true experience of Japanese cuisine, avoid all-you-can-eat places and come here instead. They use fresh ingredients from the market, and you can tell that they take pride in what they serve. I especially love their sea urchin roe, and sometimes I have to call ahead to make sure they have it in stock. Their grilled salmon head and belly are also delicious, perfectly BBQ'd with a squeeze of lemon. Pair it with a cold beer for a truly satisfying meal. This place does things right.

Amazing!. I live across the street so calling for take out is what I do!I'm also gluten free and dairy free so coming here is great when I'm starving and I don't know what to eat. I get the avocado cucumber roll. They are very polite!The food is delicious and the price is pretty good! I definitely recommend checking it out.

After trying numerous sushi restaurants in Mississauga, we have finally found our favorite spot. We absolutely love the sushi pizza here! We always ask for light rice, which they accommodate, and every dish is delicious. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food, service, and ambiance.

Good Food, Bad Service. Food was great but the service was TERRIBLE. Had to CALL the waitress 30 min since we got menus so she would take our order.. Waited another hour to get the food.. Had to remind them 3 times to get our drinks.
