I have been an aficionado of Japanese cuisine for decades and have eaten at some great restaurants and eaten a lot of what the country has to offer but our meal tonight at Seiji Sushi was exceptional. All four members of our party opted to partake in their Omakaze “Chef’s choice” offering and it was both delicious and memorable, one of the best we have ever had. The reservations-only, ten seat restaurant is owned by what we assumed is a husband and wife team and they excel at being both attentive hosts and skilled professionals. This was a wonderful experience that we will always remember.
For our first time here we had high expectations with word from locals and reservation only. We ordered the omakase chefs choice multiple meal . let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint and EVERYTHING was so DELICIOUS !! Absolutely wonderful service and atmosphere. Seiji’s is the place you go if you know what it means to have really good sushi. His contacts for amazingly flavorful and deliciously fresh fish are among the best I have tasted. Seiji and his wife, Chie are truly delightful. Conversation that boasts an intimate family feel in their restaurant. Highly worth finding the time for a reservation!
Incredible experience! Husband and wife team serving a 10-seat restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. We got the omakase, and everything served was among the best we have ever had. Can't recommend enough! We'll certainly be back.

Very small Japanese restaurant, so reservations are required. Sushi and sashimi were excellent. Also really enjoyed the special rolls (Volcano and Seiji special). If you enjoy Japanese food, definitely worth a visit.
My wife is Japanese and she assures me not only is this the best quality of ingredients but also traditional Izakaya type atmosphere. It is truly the best authentic Japanese cuisine you will find in Kona hands down!
Brilliant establishment with great service and amazing food. It is definitely a hidden gem of Kailua-kona , the owners/operators are exceptional and will definitely take care of you! 100% a must.

My husband and I were lucky to get a reservation the same day here! The sushi was the best we've ever had, we definitely want to come back!
It was very good. The sushi was pretty good and the service was pretty good. If you are coming on vacation I highly recommend it.
