The food at this restaurant leaves much to be desired. The vegetables are far from fresh, which is quite noticeable. The only items that seem genuinely fresh are the tomatoes and cucumbers. The menu is in poor condition, with the letters having faded from white to red, and the overall atmosphere is quite dim. Additionally, the tables are not properly cleaned. The service from the front desk assistant was disappointing. As first-time diners, we were unsure of what to order, so we selected three appealing options based on the pictures in the menu. We sought assistance from the assistant, who mistakenly placed an order for four dishes instead. It wasn't until he brought out four plates of diffe...

We decided to visit the restaurant because we were in the mood for seafood. The atmosphere was pleasant, and we received a warm welcome right away. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any mojarra frita (fried fish) available. We inquired about other options, but they were also unavailable. In the end, we ordered tacos, and my husband tried a burrito. The food was good, but it wasn't anything exceptional. Considering they have "fish" in their name and didn’t have any available was a bit disappointing. We did go during lunchtime, so they might not have been fully stocked yet. I might give it another try, hoping this was just a one-off situation.

"Could have been better" certainly sums up this restaurant well. The food quality is comparable to their other LA locations, but the execution at Echo Park was disappointing. I nearly choked on a bone in the Fish Burrito, which was quite alarming. Additionally, the new pricing was even harder to digest than the fish bones. Overall, both the service and the kitchen's execution left much to be desired. There was a sense of disappointment that couldn't be overlooked. Despite this, Senor Fish remains a decent choice for affordable seafood options.

So we went in because we were craving seafood. The restaurant looks nice and we were greeted right away. Unfortunately, they didn't have any mojarra frita (fried fish). We asked for something else and they also didn't have it. We ended up getting tacos and my husband tried the burrito. It was good but not great. The fact that they have fish in their name and didn't have it for consumption was a little bothersome. We did go in during lunchtime so maybe they weren't ready yet? I might give it another shot in case this was just an off day. Reserva una mesa ahora

The food and service were excellent. However, the decor left much to be desired, as it was very dark and had a somewhat dreary atmosphere. The all-black lacquer design gave it a nightclub vibe, but without any entertainment. The lighting was minimal, with only a bit on the tables. All the windows were obscured by graffiti and partially cleaned, which added to the feeling of a rundown establishment. There was also an unusual smell present. The spacious room felt nearly empty during dinner time, which was surprising.

The exterior may look a bit unpolished, but the food is absolutely fantastic! Their veggie enchiladas are a must-try. You can choose between regular or refried beans, and I personally opt for the refried—they're incredibly delicious! The salsa verde is outstanding as well. Whenever family or friends are in the area and crave Mexican food, I always suggest Señor Fish, and they consistently thank me for the great recommendation!

I ordered takeout and sampled the mahi mahi taco, fried fish taco, and shrimp ceviche. Unfortunately, the mahi mahi in the taco was quite dry, and the guacamole on the fried fish taco was not fresh and had turned brown. The shrimp ceviche was decent, but it could have benefited from a bit more lemon. On a positive note, there is parking available in the back, which is convenient given the limited parking options in Echo Park.

Wow... the portion sizes are enormous! The prices are great too! The food was delicious, and the staff was extremely friendly. It wasn't very busy when I visited, but the restaurant's size seems like it can accommodate a good number of guests. Kid-friendliness: My grandkids were treated like royalty! I really appreciate that. Reserva una mesa ahora
