Sfinaki Greek Taverna

Was looking for something Greeky, as my cravings were getting the best of me.  Decided to go here, they were advertising that they were the best Greek Restaurant in Burnaby, according to Burnaby Now paper.  Another deciding factor to try this place out, was because we had an entertainment coupon.  I thought that this restaurant was not outstanding, but I definitely understand why this was voted one of the best.  We started off with a calamari and I thought it was a little bland with LOTS of onions, but the tzatziki was bland, so overall, this was a bland dish.  I had the beef souvlaki and I thought it was good, as the rice was quite tasty.  The tzatziki sauce was a tad bland, but it went ver...

Have eaten there before due to relatives living nearby. Came early and there was no problem getting a table. The ceiling fan over the reception area was not running and the amount of dust on it and dirt hanging down was remarkable. When we were seated we noted the walls were also dirty and later visiting the toilets, the same for the toilet doors. The air was stale as there were no open windows and no air conditioning evident.The food was acceptable, although when my wife had a main course of calamari and the tzatziki was based on appetizer size ( as our waitress Niki pointed out in a rude fashion) there was a requirement to pay $3 more for extra sauce.In perspective there are signs in the w...

Always deelish!. I 've been coming to Sfinaki for more than 10 years and their Greek food is the best in the lower mainlaind! It 's no surprise they 've been voted 'Best Greek in Burnaby ' 2 years in a row now. Among my fave dishes are: keftedes, spanakopita, dolmathes, roast lamb, paidakia, kalamari and gyro! So, so, so deelish!!!

Don't go here too often, but when we do, always have the same thing. It is always a good consistent choice...lamb/prawn/scallop souvlaki. It never seems to be very busy at lunch time when we go, but the service is always good.Unfortunately they don't serve ribs at all, which is one of my Greek favorites!! Reserva una mesa ahora

Today, I went to lunch with coworkers as I am leaving the company. Our server was friendly and courteous. The arrival of food was a little slow; however, the food we had was really good! Goodbye restaurant as I will not be in the area anymore, this was my last Greek lunch! Thanks

We had the grilled kalamari as a starter and chicken and beef souvlaki for dinner. Everything was rather tasteless even the tzatziki was bland.The atmosphere is a little tired, but most Greek restaurants have a very similar decor. The service was great and very friendly.

Ok FOR REAL. This is the best Greek food I have ever eaten in my life. I swear I'm not exaggerating. The potatoes, pita and souvlaki was cooked to sheer perfection. The Greek coffee was amazing and the service was authentic and attentive. I can't wait to go back!

So very close to a 5 star rating if not for the lack of air conditioning during hot summer days. The staff at Sfinaki are great and the food choices are excellent. Most definitely the very best Greek restaurant in Burnaby ... you will not be disappointed! Reserva una mesa ahora

Good greek option in Burnaby heights. Family run restaurant with typical Greek decor. I came here for lunch on a Saturday and sadly it was so not busy, only 4 tables. I had the lamb souvlaki and it tasted really good. The service was good and friendly.

Our all time favourite Greek restaurant and we’ve been to lots!!They have the best deep fried calamari it is so light and never greasy, shoulder of lamb is heavenly and I always get spanakopita when I’m there. You gotta go it’s the best!!
