It was really brilliant to be back at this really excellent Indian restaurant. Food is great, perfectly cooked; staff always friendly and welcoming; its like coming home. Good value for money, and makes for an all round fantastic occasion. It's well situated by the London Rd, and is perfect for a meal before or after a visit to the Duke of Yorks Cinema, or just for an occasion in its own right.
I love this restaurant. Small and friendly, with a great menu that takes in all the classics and features some superb Bangladeshi specialities. Ask for Shakora fish it's the best I have tasted. It's also good value. I had poppadoms, a curry main with pilau rice, tarka dahl and two glasses of very decent wine for just over £30. Highly recommended. For Brighton, that's a real bargain.
The food at this restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced. I appreciate the elegant white tablecloths and the top-notch service. The Shahi is a reliable choice, as my family has been regulars here for years. I recommend trying something new instead of sticking to the usual dishes. Personally, I highly recommend the prawn satkora, which is a dish we specifically come here for.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The Vindaloo and Pasanda dishes were top-notch, as recommended. They arrived on time, piping hot, and incredibly tasty. The Vindaloo was perfectly balanced, and the mushroom Bhaji was cooked gently, resulting in a dish full of flavor. I can't wait to come back again! Reserva una mesa ahora
A friend has enjoyed take-aways from this restaurant so we tried it out for a sit-down meal. It was obvious that all the other customers were returning because the staff greeted them by name. I especially appreciated that they cooked a particular dish which was not on the menu for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
We ordered a takeaway from Shahi, they need to upgrade there menu and include rice with all the curries not just a few, the curry i ordered didn't come with rice which was very dissapointing.The food is nice, but very exspensive. Would i order again from here, probably not unless they change there menu.
This is my favourite Indian food in town. We only live up the road but quite often get it delivered still. Its always delicious and never we are never disappointed with the generous portions and great choices. Peas Pilau is my life!
We ordered a takeaway. Onion bhajis were dry, think heated up more than three times over a few weeks, prior to being sent to us. Main meal of chicken biriany was full of oil and so salty. Stay away and don't waste your money! Reserva una mesa ahora
The takeout meal was extremely disappointing. The food did not taste good and both of us barely ate any of it. The prices were too high for such terrible quality. We will not be ordering from this place again.
