A group of us went for a special evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked very late due to the original venue suffering a power outage. The staff were kind and welcoming and the food came in good time despite the restaurant being packed. The food was absolutely amazing. The cost was surprisingly very reasonable. The whole event was a lovely experience and I would recommend the Shampan to anyone. Thank you.
Oh dear every time I get a takeaway from here I keep my fingers crossed that it will be better. Today was a real low. Go to the ashoka from now on! There was no garlic or nice taste at all to the garlic naan tasteless and dry. Rice ok but hard to get that wrong. Just look at the pathetic excuse of a chicken tikka main. 3 x small pieces of chicken. Really pathetic
I’ve eaten in the restaurant previously and it was pretty good but this is one of the only times we’ve had a takeaway and it was absolutely appalling. The worst Indian takeaway we’ve ever had. The lamb was over cooked and rock hard in the passanda, the chips weren’t cooked, neither was the Nan bread. So very disappointed and won’t return again.
Nice Indian Restaurant, good selection of choice on the menu. The service was attentive without being over bearing and on the whole we enjoyed the experience. Our curry's were a little under spiced for what we are used to, but understand each chef is different. We would go back if back in the area. Reserva una mesa ahora
Staff are fantastic, food is absolutely delicious, portions are very generous, best curry house in Cowbridge! I'm vegan and I've found that they are very accommodating also. Can't ask for a better experience
The menus options are an excellent value. The dining experience overall is very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant. Kheema nan and homestyle chicken are my favourite. Excellent service.
One of the worst takeaway curries I have had, 3 tasteless mains, couldn't tell them apart, small amount of chicken, no coriander garnish, I am gobsmacked to read people have enjoyed eating this.
We called one night for a delivery and the guy on the phone was so so rude regarding our order. Go somewhere else where the customer service is a lot more polite Reserva una mesa ahora
Great meal at Shampan this evening. Monkfish curry, saag paneer, chana masla, mushroom rice and garlic nan. Highly recommended.

"Popped in at 2.15 pm on a quiet Friday- asked very unfriendly landlady if we could play darts- she refused saying it is only for darts team to use and that tables were booked. Only table used was no where near the dart board."
