I have mixed feelings about Shandals restaurant. I want to love it because my friends are obsessed with it, but I don't find it amazing. The food is decent, but the noodles are usually overcooked and mushy, some dishes are too spicy or salty, the rice is dry, and some dishes lack flavor. Overall, nothing stood out to me that would make me want to go back. Since becoming vegan in 2013, I have noticed that they have been steadily increasing their prices every year. I understand prices going up occasionally, but it seems to happen too frequently. I used to think it was a good value for the quality of food, but now I'm not so sure with smaller portions and no improvement in food quality. Updated...

I cannot praise enough the consistent quality that this restaurant provides in every dish made with love. I always feel wonderful after enjoying a meal here. You have the option to choose between four or six items, all of which are vegan. Some dishes have a bit of kick, but there is something for everyone. Please note that the restaurant only accepts cash. Vegetarian options are available, making it the best vegan food in Bridgeport. The atmosphere is full of love and sunshine. Service is for takeout and the meal type is dinner.

The owner was extremely friendly and took the time to describe all the dishes on the menu. I was pleased to find out that everything was made with fresh vegetables, no canned ingredients. I ordered a large portion and sampled six different dishes, all of which were incredibly tasty. My favorites were the okra, curry, and noodles. The service was for takeout, and the meal was perfect for a satisfying lunch. The price per person ranged from $10 to $20.

I arrived at the restaurant about 30 minutes after it opened today. The owner was still getting things ready, but he was very friendly and recommended some dishes to try. He mentioned that everything on the menu is vegan and that they use their own recipes. The food was absolutely delicious! I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture. The food at this restaurant is delicious, but the portions are on the smaller side. Unfortunately, the cook does not allow for double portions even when ordering 4 or 6 sides. However, this is a great place to eat for vegans with excellent vegetarian options. The service is for takeout, and it is recommended for a dinner meal. The price per person ranges from $10 to $20.

shandal’s is by far one of the best vegan places I found in ct for Jamaican food. trys so good and affordable, 6 out of 15 options for $12. good portions also. will now come much more to that I know about this jewel.
