Shanghai Garden Chinese Restaurant

This is the third time we have travelled quite a distance across town to this restaurant that on the outside does not do justice to the inside , but it is very clean and has semi formal surroundings. It is now rare to find such...crispy fresh lemon chicken and garlic prawns. Generous servings of taste soup. Appropriate wines to match food. Reviews complain food takes too long, but that is because unlike so many other places and in more expensive suburbs ,this place is not microwaving their food. ordered through menulog tonight and was charged, then received a text saying my order was cancelled and I would receive a refund which when I went onto my bank account, I received a refund from menulog but then had been charged with a company called...Deliveroo, which I have never heard of. I quickly rang my bank, had to cancel my card, rang the restaurant, explained to them that they have charged the wrong card, basically got told not her problem, ring menulog. Its their problem. Then she tells me they had a delivery order with Deliveroo. So someone got a nice feed on my card. Will never order with them again.

Great local Chinese restaurant well worth a try if your craving delicious Chinese food. Takeaway or dine-in, Shanghai Garden Restaurant will not leave you disappointed. The food is always consistent and the staff are always very friendly.

Lovely restaurant. Very impressed with beer braised duck it had the perfect amount of spice and shanghai crispy duck with perfect crispness. Will be back for sure to try other dishes of their huge menu. Thanks for a lovely evening Reserva una mesa ahora

The cuisines are delicious. If you have a taste for spicy food, you should not miss this place. Dishes are reasonably priced for what's being served. Do not miss the Spicy Chicken or Pork, Beef Salad. Cheers

Recently had dinner at this restaurant, it was the only chinese available on a Monday night. Food was delicious, staff friendly and the service was very quick. Pleasant night out.

Delicious special fried rice , sweet sour pork and stir fried Mongolian beef my partner really enjoyed it too just need to add more ingredients in fried rice

We waited for an hour and twenty minutes for Luke warm tasteless food. How does a Chinese restaurant make fried rice taste horrible but they managed it

Good service, nice food, nice atmosphere. Good variety to choose from the menu. Definitely will be back.
