Shanghai Stories - Reservar una mesa

The menu looked very impressive, but the reality was nothing special at all. The hot sour soup (my yardstick) was unsubtle and not spicy at all, the beef and mango had tinned mango and the sweet and sour chicken had a mass of nuts in it. So although I ate well I felt it was far from an authentic Chinese experience. The service was friendly and efficient.

After days of ham, cheese and paella, we wanted to eat some Chinese instead. After searching a bit and we decided to try this Shanghai Stories even though they don’t have much reviews on TripAdvisor. We dint disappointed at the end and we get that they should be recommended to more people here at TripAdvisor. Taste 8/10. Authentic 7.5/10. Service 9/10.

Tons of sugar. Cucumbers sprinkled on top with undissolved sugar. Chicken? Sweet as well, gravy tastes like a jelly. The veggie buns are terrible, stuffed with spinach, no green onions, no chives, nothing, not even a pinch of salt. Veggie tofu? Just a bland, tasteless tofu. Save your time.

The vegetables were cooked to the perfection. Some of us felt that some of the meat dishes however were cooked with too much oil. Overall pleasant experience with a service that you won't see in many restaurants around Barcelona.

Waitresses were very friendly and attentive food was nice and tasted very fresh : The restaurant is reasonably priced and is value for money!
