Shells Seafood St. Pete Beach

Not my kind of place . Review gave the illusion that the food would be decent. Seafood dip wasn't even hot. Consistence of thinset. And with room temp tortilla chips? I ordered grouper special. Fish was overcooked and had black charred pieces. The potatoes were good , asparagus was ok, at least not over cooked. For $25, expensive veggies. Was with a feiend and didn't want to make a scene. The food was very tasty and the price was fair. We had the seafood pasta and the Ultimate Combo fish platter. For desert we shared the chocolate cake, which was powerful and super sweet. An absolute must is the homemade mussel soup. In addition, the service was perfect! We arrived promptly for dinner as a party of four. There's no need to wait. Our server came over quickly to take our drink and appetizer orders. Everything on the menu sounded amazing. After placing our orders, we didn't have to wait long for some delicious food to arrive. Our server frequently checked in on us, and we had no issues during this visit.

I used to dine at the Shells in Orlando before it closed years ago, so discovering another Shells while visiting St. Pete was a delightful surprise. We absolutely love this place! It's a fantastic option, especially when the local spots are busy. The food and service are exceptional! The grilled shrimp skewers and peel-and-eat shrimp are among the best we've ever had!
