I’ve never had a worse experience at a restaurant in my entire life. I ordered takeout on Valentine’s Day, to be picked up at 543pm. LONG story short, after waiting 1 hour for my food with my 5 year old, we finally left with half our order. It took me 4 times flagging down a different waitress and the hostess just to get the manager to come out from the back so I could get my $80 and get out of there. It probably took 15-20 min just for the manager to come out. The poor hostess didn’t even want to come back to the podium bc she felt so bad, not to mention another man that came in at the same time as me took almost as long to get his food. We had reservations so I thought planning 90 minutes for a meal was sufficient but the kitchen was not able to keep up with demand. We waited almost an hour to get salads. Meal came out not long after and 2 of the 4 of us only had sandwiches. Food was hot. Since we couldn't make it to Christmas Services, we got dessert. Cheesecake was amazing but Bread Pudding was dried out and hardly had any sauce to it. Service was okay, our cups ran empty but our waitress was covering several tables with large groups. With limited menus and reservations, there should have been enough staffing on the floor and in the kitchen, the number of people eating tonight wasn't a surprise. Disappointed in experience...
I have been here numerous times and the majority of the food is very good. However, every time I go in, I hope they 've improved the beer cheese that accompanies their delicious pretzel. Last night I had the same, bland beer cheese. Why they don 't add a little cayenne and try not to 'break ' the sauce, is beyond me. I can 't be the only one that notices the grainy texture of this 'beer cheese '. Let 's hope they work on that and keeping the fries as fresh as possible.
My sister-in-law and I went to Shift Rest. In Bright Indiana yesterday. It's a restaurant that's been open for about five years. We started with an appetizer which was a pretzel with beer cheese.I I had a cheeseburger and fries for my meal and my sister-in-law had wings. My cheeseburger was delicious. I got a chance to taste my sister-in-law's wings which were not deep fried but grilled They were very good . It was a very enjoyable lunch, and the ambiance was great.

Took family for Thanksgiving dinner. Service was great! Only complaint, had apples in the dressing that ruined taste of the dressing.
Fast friendly service and great food! We are always treated well at Shift. The staff is always very attentive to our needs.
