Shogun Japanese Steakhouse

The food is delicious. I don't imagine many people will dispute that. My primary issue with the place is that the portion sizes do not befit the prices. For the exorbitant amount that's being charged, I couldn't possibly give them 4 or 5 stars. It's too bad because the chefs and waitresses were great at their jobs. But there are too many other hibachi places in Clarksville that offer very similar food in the same portions for about $5-$10 less. I ordered the Salmon and Scallops. Again, I greatly enjoyed it. The salmon was fantastic. The lemon was the perfect addition to it (this coming from a guy who can't stand the all-too-ubiquitous lemon pepper seasoning on seafood) and the scallops. Omg....

The food was great! We ordered take-out over the phone. The person took our order quickly and correctly. She was very knowledgeable on the menu. Our order was to be ready in 20-25min. When we arrived our order was ready to go. We paid right away, she bagged our food, and we're out the door in a few minutes. The food was exactly what we ordered and tasted great! My only (slight) complaint is that when I was last here (5years ago) the spicy crab sushi rolls were large pieces with extra spicy crab piled on top. I was looking forward to this but today the sushi rolls were very small! I wish I had ordered more. However, that won't stop me from going back. I will be returning to this location and...

I wasn 't impressed with Hananoki. I had heard many great things from a friend of mine so I suggested eating dinner here with friends. We sat in the sushi side of the restaurant. There were not enough menus for us and the waiter did not seem to realize this. The napkins and table were sticky and it felt like the table had not been wiped down well. The food was okay. We are no stranger to sushi and the rolls we each selected were somewhat bland and not flavorful. I ordered the sautéd shiitake mushrooms which were drenched in soy sauce. The service was good though. Very friendly people everywhere throughout the restaurant. I would not go out of my way to go have dinner here in the future thoug...

I can say I've had better. It was pretty decent. My portion of food I receive was skimpy compared to other Japanese places. Barely any veggies. Usually hibachi gives you yum yum sauce and teriyaki sauce...We all received one brown sauce for meat and some horseradish sauces for your veggies. Their brown sauce was tasty however that white sauce I was not a fan of. They put ground beef in their rice which is different.. but it was pretty good. Reserva una mesa ahora

So this place has kinda screwed me, and not by anything bad that they have done. I've been coming here since I was young (at their old location back then). I now travel the US all the time but this place has set the bar too high. I go to others around the country and find my self disappointed in the over all experience. Can't go wrong coming here, hell I'm in Montana at another Japanese steakhouse and wishing I was home.

Ok the food was pretty good! I'd say it was a 8/10 and the show was really cool. I'm visiting from California so I had high expectations and it hit the spot. However, the food did not sit well with a few of us and we're not sure why... maybe too much oil or seasoning I don't know. And not as important but they really need to improve the ventilation.

We just moved to the area and I love going to hibachi grills. The food here was delicious! Probably the best miso soup I've had. The service was great. The only thing keeping it from getting 5 stars is the food portions were smaller than I've had at other places and it was pricier than I've paid at other places.

I made reservations for my husbands birthday here for yesterday evening. We waited nearly an hour before being seated (after our reservation time). When we were seated we were told we had to squish together at 1 table. We had a party of 14. We will never go back to Hananoki again. Reserva una mesa ahora

We both had steak and shrimp. Everything was good, cook was fun and entertaining. Plemty of food to eat.. Not crowded so it was nice and quite. We will go back again.

Their rolls look like something you find in a super market. No flair! Tasted OK but nothing that would make me go back, especially the dining room.
