We visited this cafe twice in one day. In the morning we got a coffee which was very very milky and at $5.50 each was very expensive for what I think was only one shot of coffee in the cup - McCafe down the road do a better coffee. We then went back that same afternoon and were drawn in because they had good happy hour specials on beer and wine. The beer and wine selections and prices were good and while we were there we ordered a taster plate of food to share. The waitress advised it was a selection of the entrees that they offered. I got here for breakfast asking for a muffin. That said it took at least 10 minutes to be ready. After 40 minutes the muffins weren't ready yet. When I asked, they answered that they said "at least 10 minutes"... well, for me there is a huge difference between "at least 10" and 40 minutes! They should plan better the kitchen. Anyway in the end the muffin was good and the cappuccino too. The bagel with salmon is very good.
While visiting Airlie Beach recently we went to our usual breakfast venue, The Sidewalk Cafe. I have been having breaky there when visiting Airlie for over 15 years! It's always pancakes for me, and last weekend was no exception. It was very busy so we did wait a bit longer than my belly would have liked but it was worth it. So much has changed in Airlie over the last 20 years but I hope The Sidewalk Cafe never does! ❤
The French toast with bacon and maple syrup sounded great. Reasonable price so I orderedAfter 50 minutes a cold plate with soggy French toast appeared with what may have once been bacon but was so overcoooked if I dropped it it probably would have broken the cement Very disappointing the guy in charge offered a refund or to recook but honestly did not want to loose another hour of my life waiting for bar food
We attended this establishment twice in one day, and both times we were greeted by 3 very surly looking wait staff, who could not even manage to fake a smile, and put a real downer on our experience. Coffee order was wrong, however still lovely coffee, prices were decent. Two young men served us later in the evening and they were brilliant and very helpful.
Went here twice for a late lunch around 3pm since they serve until 4pm. Both times the meals were nice. Large portion sizes so you are not left hungry. The prices are reasonable.We ordered at the bar and got our drinks and then the waitress brings out the food.It was nice overall.
