Booked to eat at Silk Room after reading some positive reviews and reading the menu and liking the look of it. Arrived at 7:30pm on a Friday night to find only 1 other table filled which was slightly worrying to begin with. The food was Wetherspoons quality at higher class prices. One of the waiters whose name I didn't catch was fantastic for the latter half of our time there, however the other member of staff who served us for the majority of the time from the beginning stood behind the bar on his phone, not really paying attention to anything around him. We weren't offered any drinks after our first and after calling him over to ask for some, he brought them and left all the original empty...
Slightly disappointed with my experience at Silk Room. The manager (I think he was the manager) was fabulous. Friendly, attentive ans worked really hard. His supporting team let him down. One young chap behind the bar, spent majority of his time on his phone, whilst the bar was awash with glasses, both used and unused. Other members of the team (potentially new) required direction, lacked energy and enthusiasm. Food was fine, my partner had steak, and I had sea bass. Steak was lovely, my fish was good but not great. Purely acceptable. If this was a school report card, the comment would be ' could do better '
A great place with great vibe.The food was amazing , definitely would recommend the lamb and the steak. They also have a wide range of champagne as well. The staff was amazing and it is a beautiful place for hosting business or private events.
Medium fillet was cooked to perfection ! Medium/rare kangaroo fillet was outstanding! Staff very polite and well mannered Good value for money in comparison to like for like restaurants nationwide Certainly be back time and time again!

We booked this restaurant for our evening meal and it didn't disappoint,with it being a small restaurant and menu the quality was fantastic,the staff are friendly,helpful and polite. Would highly recommend this restaurant.
Not a great experience during restaurant week. Difference between the website and actual menu. Service was slow, waiting almost 2 hours for mains. One round of drinks...
Food was expensive and a slightly burnt. The ‘so called’ vegan options were almost certainly not vegan either. Really disappointing place to eat.
Excellent food lam speech less the kangaroo was a amazing top food recommended to everyone many thanks xxx

The burger had no seasoning at all and was very weird I won't be going back.
Best restaurant in town. Amazing steaks. Book again soon.
