The ambiance of this place has definitely declined over the years. They used to serve meals on real plates, with proper utensils and cups, but now everything is plastic. This gives off a cheap vibe that feels out of place with the high prices. In the past, the pot would be cooked right in front of you, but now it’s all prepared in a corner and simply brought to the table. The excitement for the food has diminished, and this has undoubtedly impacted the flavor. Very unique way of cooking a dry pot. Slowly simmer the contents to have the sauce sink in. The flavor is very authentic. Very fresh ingredients. The place has good atmosphere, clean and quiet. Very nice spot to hang out with friends. I love their signature pancake. Crispy from the outside, chewy from the inside. Dip that into the sauce, its explosive ! I was hoping the food would come out faster though. I know that my pot came out uncooked a while ago. They put them on the side and cook it for almost 30 mins. We got this for takeout, so it defeats the whole show aspect of this cuisine, so next time I'll have to actually dine-in. We got the Continental Combo. It was huge, like it came in a catering tray, so you definitely get your money's worth. It had a good mix of meats, tripe, veggies, and a ton of garlic (entire cloves of garlic). I liked the brown sauce, reminded me of the gravy you would get in stir fries. My husband said he *loved* the flavor and ate every clove of garlic that was generously sprinkled in the food. We didn't try adding broth at the end, but we did really like it as a simmer pot.
I grew frustrated and asked why they couldn’t handle a simple order. They yelled back that the food would burn and overcook before abruptly hanging up. I couldn't believe that a restaurant of this size has only one person cooking and taking orders. The attitude here is baffling; it feels like I’m begging them to let me eat there. In fact, it sounds like I need to plead just to get something from their menu. It’s astonishing how this once-great restaurant has turned into such a disaster.

All I taste was a bunch of super salty sauce over the food. The fish pot says 3# of fish but I bet it's not 3# definitely overpriced because by the time you add other raw ingredients, each pot cost closed to $100. Also, they give you paper plates and bowls while the sauce soaks through it it was very hard to eat and it's not very appealing. A group of 8 of us ordered two pots plus 5 beer the bill came out to $300. It's way over priced for this type of quality and service.
We paid almost ＄70 ordered one frogs combo, we stayed home then when we opened the lid, most of the takeaway boxes were the side dishes that we paid for extra money. The frogs were particularly rare, and the frog meat was very shredded, and the extra money for enoki mushrooms was only a little bit, which is really not worth the price.!!! We were disappointed! Never give a bad review, this time I am very angry, if I can, I don't want to give a star!
We ordered the chicken hot pot, and it was quite disappointing. The portions were very small. In the pot, there were mostly chicken wings and a few rather unappetizing pieces of chicken thigh or knee. While the dish was very spicy, it lacked real flavor. Additionally, the prices have increased.

Way way overpriced! Taste was decent and the waitress provided a good service. Not a place to eat alone, the dishes are for 2 or more people.
