Wow. Ok. This has to be a hidden gem amongst the row of restaurants there. However, be warned. Hawkers food this is not. This place caters actually for the westernized chinese tongue. However, in the midst of all these, comes hidden gems of traditional Chinese food.
We came to this place as Taurus is now horribly bad and bamboo was packed. When we got there on a Saturday, the place was deserted. All up in the hour we were there about 8 other people went in to order. Undetered we went about the menu. Their hawkers specials does indeed look authentic. However as we ordered a combination bbq rice and it was unavailable we decided to order share food instead.

We have not come back to this restaurant since we last ate here several years ago. So, after a round of golf on Wed, we decided to give it another try. We had Mai Fan, Hokkien mee, Lo Bak & combination crispy roast pork & BBQ pork between 3 of us. Overall, the food just taste ordinary. Other places taste better. The worst dish was the combination BBQ pork & crispy roast pork. They were very dry & hard. Both looked like they stayed in the kitchen over the Xmas holidays & then were used when the restaurant reopen for business. I cannot even poke through the BBQ meat with my fork and am more disgusted that the chef even served it out to customers. This restaurant definitely...
El vendedor ambulante era una experiencia agradable general para comer, pero las razones por las que obtuvieron una calificación de 3.5 se debe a que el pollo de miel era demasiado dulce, los asientos que mi familia se sentó en la mayoría de la familia y no pudimos salir de Nuestras sillas sin golpear la otra mesa y podríamos escuchar las conversaciones de los demás con claridad. De lo contrario, habría obtenido una revisión casi perfecta.
The hawker was an overall pleasing experience to eat at, but the reasons this got a 3.5 rating is because the honey chicken was too sweet, the seating that my family sat at was way too close to another family's and we couldn't get out of our chairs without hitting the other table and we could hear each others conversations clearly. Otherwise, it would have gotten a nearly perfect review.
First thing I notice is that the decor is very below average, but it is only a hawker so you really shouldn't expect much in terms of setting. The fried rice in my opinion is one of the best that i've had and the squid was the perfect texture. I loved the food and the only reason it is not getting a 5 from me is because of the unpleasant scene.
