I heard about Skipolini 's prego pizza during my last pregnancy but never made it out since my son arrived early. Fast forward to present times and I wanted to try it out in hopes of getting this baby to come out! About 5 hours have passed since we ate and no luck so far, but will definitely update my review if this famous pizza actually does the job haha. We had our son with us so I was called hoping to order ahead so we didn 't have to wait too long for our pizza, but they said they couldn 't do that. But much to our surprise when we drove up, there is actually a playground on the outdoor patio! It 's pretty small and according to my husband it would be crowded if even two kids were in it...

My son and I came in to order pizza for lunch to go. After parking, we entered the main door. We had food here a few times, and we always found the place inviting, well-lit and nicely decorated. The booths were clean and weren't at all cramped. But since we were ordering to go, the staff led us to a back area where we were supposed to be in placing a takeaway order. We ordered a combination pizza, family size and from the time we place the order, we were out the door in 15. Not bad. Not bad at all. And when we got home and ate the pizza, it was so delicious! The crust was just cooked in the right amount of time...not gooey or burnt. The veggies were not overdone. And the meat was just cooked...
We tried Skipolini as we craved for a pizza and we drove by often. I called and ordered family size pizza: half Prego pizza and half Martinelli. The wait time was about half an hour by the time I arrived to pick up, I waited about 5 minutes for my pizza as it was quite busy at the restaurant. The pizza itself was delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh. Both type contained lots of filling (esp. the Prego). The crust was well cooked and the chewy. However, both were too salty for our taste. The lower rating was due to the price of the pizza. For around $45 (with tax tips) for large pizza, it felt like we were paying artisan pizza. Hence, it was a solid 3.5 stars. Not sure if we'll coming back...
Went for lunch. Food- the most disgusting sandwich I've had in a long time. (Skipolini Panini with roast beef) soggy frozen bread defrosted and then placed on a panini press for nowhere near long enough. Disgusting pesto sauce and ice cold in the middle. Like I said. DISGUSTING. Italian Chop Salad. Disgusting. Brown lettuce, possible seven day old bacon. Service? HORRIBLE is an understatement. Ambiance? What ambiance, the place smells disgusting, no greeter at the door, had to seat ourselves in the bar area. Not to mention the entire place is filthy and the health department needs to be contacted. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Reserva una mesa ahora
During our family outing to Skipolini's Pizza, we couldn't resist ordering their famous Prego pizza, and it exceeded our expectations with its fantastic taste. Our waiter was attentive, ensuring our drinks were consistently topped off. Despite the restaurant being relatively quiet for a Saturday night, it was clear that their kitchen was bustling, likely due to a substantial number of call-in and delivery orders. I'm already looking forward to revisiting on our next trip. The meal was so filling that it sustained me well into the next day. If you leave Skipolini's feeling hungry, you have only yourself to blame.
I met a friend for lunch the other day at Skipolini's. It is not somewhere I normally think to go, so it was a nice surprise. We were there for a late lunch so the place was not busy at all. Lots of parking and a nice patio that would be great in nice weather. They have a varied menu with pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, salads and entrees. My friend had blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and I had the soup and salad. My house salad in particular was really good. I loved the dressing and the pieces of salami. Our server was super friendly and helpful too. Glad to know another good spot to eat in Folsom.
Our server today, Kourtney, was outstanding. Despite our varied orders and a few special requests, she brought out everyone's meals almost simultaneously. The pizza that my wife and I shared was delicious. Throughout our meal, Kourtney ensured that we all had what we needed, even while managing other tables. She kindly took a group photo for us and effortlessly arranged separate checks for each person. A big shout-out to Kourtney, her fellow servers, and the entire kitchen team at Skipolini's for making our experience so enjoyable!
The Italian Chop Salad is a generous portion and incredibly fresh and delicious. The chicken is juicy, though the pancetta is a bit overcooked. Overall, I would definitely recommend this salad. On the other hand, the Fettuccine Alfredo is quite bland; the sauce is thin and watery, and it doesn’t coat the noodles well. Reserva una mesa ahora
Skipolini's never fails to exceed our expectations! Fantastic pastas, pizzas, salads, and their ranch dressing is how all ranch dressings SHOULD be! Love this place and appreciate their attention to detail. Every order has been accurate and packaged perfectly!
