What an experience Skosh is! Was really looking forward to trying and booked quite a way in advance for our anniversary. Beautiful small plates, can highly recommend the duck breast, chicken gochujang, tempura brocolli and pork belly. Everything seems so well considered, maybe an obvious thing to say, but not every considered decision results in such a beautiful outcome. Even down to the crockery choices. I wish it were bigger, the small table for two is small. Some of the seating options are more of bar stool arrangement, which isn't for everyone, me included. Skosh is a real pearl of find in York. Definitely go, it's not just dinner: it's an event.
If we lived closer, I could see this being a regular. Dishes are served tapas style and there is a large variety of creative dishes using quality produce. We particularly liked the egg, fried chicken, heritage tomatoes and the clotted cream soft serve dessert. Corn fritters were very tasty but could have been a bit crunchier. The sashimi of red mullet was more akin to a prawn cocktail in flavour profile, not sure we would pick this one again.
Thank you to all working in 12th July. What a great foodie experience we had. Loved the atmosphere and craic. The menu choice is perfect as is the selection of wines available, including by the glass #love. We enjoyed EVERY morsel placed in front of us. The Hen's Egg was WOW as was the Lobster and sashimi. From a sweet aspect the Choc Mojito *chefs kiss... then with our espresso and exquisite plate of Petit Fours. *does a fabulous food dance
Such a lively place after the refurb, need to book well in advance. They have lots of bar seats available as walk ins. The food is exceptional, service so good, cocktails fab. Had the Utaapam waffle, Duck, finshed with Hong Kong Tart. Thank you

Booked last minute. Very impressed with the dishes which were all cooked to a high standard. Very pleasant interior and service was excellent. I enjoyed the premise of having smaller plates. Pork belly and gojuchang chicken were excellent
Absolutely splendid. Not usually a small plates fan but this was great. Really enjoyed the trout amuse bouche, lobster dumplings , lamb tartare and miso aubergine. Wine excellent too!!
I had my Birthday celebration a couple week ago there down. I would say them foods is the best thing I have ever tasted.lovely staffs,polite, helpful and excellent service
Excellent menu of small plates. Well thought out dishes plated beautifully plated. We tried some nice wines too

Newly renovated. Modern beautifully done. The food was amazing, as usual. The best!!
