Sleepy Bear Coffee

On our visit, Sleepy Bear looked like it ticked all the for a modern coffee shop (especially welcomed in Lausanne!) but it was disappointing. Firstly, there are eight places to sit...their max capacity is EIGHT people! There is definitely room for extra chairs, but it’s not utilized - I guess getting people inside isn’t their priority! We settled for take-away as every seat was taken.The next disappointment was the service – slow and confused. There were people ahead of us waiting (the lucky ones who got a seat) and coffees orders were coming out wrong. There must have been 10 people max in there and 3 people ordering, but the Baristas seemed to be struggling. Of course the coffees were cold...

Foncez là-bas, le matin avant de monter dans le train, à midi pour un dîner entre collègues ou le weekend pour emballer votre nana. Café exceptionnel, attention aux détails, staff professionnel, patron au top. Fuyez Starbucks et allez boire du vrai café (et d'autres choses, y'a du choix!)J'ai pris un pass pour soutenir l'ouverture du café et ne le regrette pas (cafés offerts, sourires, service impeccable). Je suis The Grand-Pa Bear. Can't fool me.

It was challenging to find this cafe. Was it worth it? No. The coffee was ok, and the croissant could have been better. It looked very cozy though, but the design of the cafe is very off-putting (it is very rectangular and the cafe counter...is on the longer side, if you know what I mean). They also had two or three options of coffee beans to choose from. May come back later if I’m around.

Super Cafe avec un très bon savoir faire. Même la petite tarte fourré à la viande était délicieuse. Je conseille cet endroit à tous les gens qui souhaite en connaître un peut plus sur le Cafe ou bien qui sont curieux de déguster un très bon Cafe. L'ambiance est super, le patron accueillant et le barista sympa. Une très belle expérience pour moi que je souhaite à tout le monde ! Reserva una mesa ahora

If you're a coffee fan, you'll find what you need. And if you are not like me, you will find a delicious hot chocolate or a nice tea (no Teq bag) friendly staff to explain the different blends etc. And on... Conquest they will draw a beautiful bear creamy head

They serve a properly (and professionally) frothed cappuccino. Somewhat that's a rarity at Lausanne currently. The staffs are friendly and the atmosphere is lively. I'd come everyday. The space is somewhat small. Probably 10 seats or so?

Grand adepte de café devant l'Eternel, voilà enfin un coffee shop capable de me contenter. De plus, les quelques serveurs et le patron sont extrêmement compétents. On sent bien leur passion rien qu'à leur parler. Je recommande vivement.

It is hard to find real barista made coffee in Lausanne, but this place has it. Had a very nice latte and cappuccino today. It was worth the walk from Morges! Reserva una mesa ahora

Very chic, a small oasis for a break before the train to work. Excellent coffee, decent terrace, inviting service, Instagrammable decor. Come back soon.

Very rude service. Nothing else to say. I just wanted a nice coffee and had to pay for a terrible experience....................................
