Small Batch charges extra for non-dairy milks, a lot extra. When I emailed them to ask them to stop discriminating against their vegan and lactose intolerant customers they said they spend lots more on alternative milk than dairy milk. They buy one of the most expensive soy milks available and refuse of have an additional good quality but cheaper one (there are many). I don't think this should matter as they already make a large profit on coffee and I asked them to send me over the different prices so I can work out if the extra charge just covers the additional cost of the alternative milks or is ripping us off as I suspect. Always reliable, with nice staff. The coffees, teas, and hot chocolate are good, and the selection of accompanying bites are very good. They are dog friendly, and even have a small outdoor seating area over looking Norfolk Square.
I spend a lot of time in coffee shops as I travel for work and spend a lot of time trying to find a good space to sit and drink good coffee. It is very fortunate that one of the best places I have found is right on my doorstep.
This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Brighton, I ordered an ice latte and they were little late to serve it so they gave me a free coffee card for my next visit which was nice and thoughtful!

Good coffee but..... 13 min wait for it, 30p charge for contactless card, awful noise from machine, and real tea but why not use a pot where the customer can decide how long to let the leaves brew.
I visited this coffee shop with friends and, after our coffee, needed to use the toilet. These are located downstairs and, as I discovered, are kept locked with key code access.
All branches do brill coffee but my favourite venue is Norfolk Square- bigger,more food and friendly staff. My only criticism is their frappes altho good, are way over priced.
Gosh you walk in and your faced with bread bread bread cheese cakes all BREADY no lads nothing healthy. they need to do something about their food!!!

Was in today. Never again. Milk just left out and staff very rude. Food kept by bins. Really dreadful place. Much better in seven dials and hove
Although I am a small Batch Coffee fan this is my worst experience in their coffee shops
