Smoke Pit Bar-B-Que

A small barbecue place with friendly staff and good food. We ordered a family option for 39.99$ which is supposed to serve 3 4, I would say three is probably more accurate. We split it in half between two, and it was definitely a lot of food. Ordered it as take out, and it took what felt like less than five minutes (super impressive). The family platter comes with a full rack, four pieces of corn bread, two sides, and bbq sauce (we chose mild from the mild, hot, or sweet options, and it was a pretty standard bbq sauce no complaints). We ordered ribs, brisket, and a few sides. The ribs had an odd flavor. I'm not sure how to describe them. My kids took a bite and gave them back to me. The beans tasted like they came from a can. The mild bbq sauce was thick and very sweet. The brisket was okay. I did like the cucumber side. If we come back, we will just be grabbing brisket to take home. This pace rules! The woman who served me was pleasant and professional. I had my order and was on my way in no time. The food is delicious and moderately priced. I had the briquette with spicy sauce and I defintely recommend it. Just the right amount of spice!Food: 5/5

I used to go here years ago and stopped in for lunch. The meat was tender, but not flavorful like I remember. The way the food taste either the company was sold or under new management. However, the lemonade was amazing.Food: 2/5

We came here to eat some BBQ after a morning at the zoo. It was a little out of our way, but worth the drive. It was cozy, staff was wonderful and kind, and the food was so delicious.Food: 5/5
