Smokin' Notes Bbq East Peoria

After the disastrous visit at the Mexican eatery (C 's Catering) across the river, figured we give this a try. Doesn 't look like much from the outside, but they certainly have the best BBQ we have had in long time, including Texas or Memphis. The pulled pork is just awesome. Service is prompt and friendly, even right at lunch time when it 's very busy. The amount of food, incl. the delicious fries, is very generous. At least for my $28 for two people, I get good, hot, tasty food. Unlike some other places here in town. This is our go-to place from now on.

Fantastic experience. A friend suggested the place, I got the Brisket and Half Rack combo. Brisket was good, respectable portion size and good flavor…no complaints or suggestions, just solid for sure. However, the ribs might have been the best restaurant ribs I’ve ever had. I’ve had better competition ribs, but restaurant ribs this place is very very good. I got the baked beans, good flavor and unique spice too it. also very good.

I had a lovely time here. Portion sizes were great for the price, and the service was great. I got the rib tip dinner with potato salad, candied yams, and a large mac n cheese to share. The meat was very tender and the potatoes were cooked perfectly. My only complaint would be that the candied yams were a tad too sweet, but I still ate a good amount. I highly recommend stopping by this restaurant.

We got delivery. My husband got ribs and I got burnt ends. Both can be iffy depending where you go. These were amazing! The ends were super tender and flavorful. We have one kid that loves ribs and he ate his to the bone! Fries were good, friend okra were tasty and the collard greens were flavorful and tender. Everyone liked the BBQ sauce. Why did we wait so long to try this place?? Best fries in town. We wanted a quick bite between a late breakfast and earlier dinner and we decided to split the loaded fries with brisket. Phenomenal!! We'll definitely be back!

We got a lb. of brisket, 20 wings, and pork skins and it was outstanding. Service was great. The food was hot and came to the table in less than 10 minutes. Great place for BBQ.

Nice spot to grab a meal. The brisket was ok but the beans were very good.
