We stayed in St Max for a week and thanks to Tripadvisor we went to this little beauty of a restaurant. I advise to book during season as there are only a few tables and this is pretty popular! We were greeted by the hostess who then became our waitress, only to find out that she was the owner along with her husband in, who ran the kitchen. We sat outside on a great summers evening and had some lovely organic, local rose wine! 2 bottles in fact! Very good and also compliments the food they serve very well. The menu isn't very extravagant but then it doesn't need to be for what they offer - a form of French tagine, the 'Brick' and couscous dishes. We asked our host what was good to eat and allowed her to choose our dishes. Between the 3 of us we had a beef tagine (massive!), the regular 'brick' (egg, cheese and potato) and some veggie couscous. The portions are massive and you will feel well fed by the time you leave. I had to waddle out the door after our Sofra feast! The garden is lovely and quiet - three tortoises call it home, the service was great and I would recommend this little gem if you fancy a great meal out in St Max!Closed on Mondays and Sundays to allow the awesome couple some R&R!
